As an indigenous member of the Bushman community, I write this open letter not just on behalf of myself but for the countless voices of our people who have been silenced, overlooked, and ignored in the annals of history. We are the original inhabitants of this land, the ancient custodians of its stories, traditions, and cultural heritage. Yet, despite our deep roots and profound connections to this region, we find ourselves marginalized and unrecognized by the very nations that have emerged from the soil we have tended for millennia.
