As a proud Bushman and unapologetically African, I pen this editorial to celebrate the profound legacy of Bushmen throughout history and to highlight the vital role we play in the tapestry of humanity. Our ancestors achieved what few others have, leaving behind a rich heritage that continues to shape the world today. It is time to recognize the strength, resilience, and contributions of Bushmen while also acknowledging the painful systems that have sought to undermine our dignity.
